The Po Delta is a vast land area extending from the mouth of the Po River, one of Italy's largest rivers, to the Adriatic Sea. It is a region of significant environmental and natural importance, characterized by a variety of habitats including marshes, channels, lagoons, and coastal dunes. The delta is renowned for its rich biodiversity and as a major sanctuary for migratory birds. Additionally, it is an important area for fishing and agriculture.
