The mountainous environment of the Venetian Prealps is characterized by rolling hills, rugged peaks, and lush valleys. Dense forests of beech, fir, and pine cover much of the landscape, providing habitat for a diverse array of wildlife. Scenic trails wind through the mountains, offering breathtaking views of alpine meadows, rocky outcrops, and crystalline streams. In the winter, the peaks are dusted with snow, attracting skiers and snowboarders to the region's resorts. The tranquil beauty of the Venetian Prealps makes it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and relaxation amidst nature's splendor.
I enjoy exploring the mountains and valleys near my family's vacation home, nestled at the foothills of the Alps, at 1,000 meters above sea level. It's situated in a very small village, not heavily touristic except during the summer, allowing me to enjoy complete solitude in the forest throughout the year (though I prefer not to stay out overnight, as I'd rather be inside my house away from wild boars). The forest is rich with deer, roe deer, mouflons, and many other mammals, including wolves. Despite my efforts, they often vanish into the woods, and I only learn about their presence through trail cameras, as they are true masters of concealment unlike me. Sometimes, however, luck is on my side or I'm better hidden, allowing me to capture beautiful images of these shy animals.
